"Like many people who have long careers, I thought I had mastered the balancing act between work life and home life. But when I lost my job recently I discovered, to my horror, that the rest of my life wasn't nearly as neat and orderly as my work life had been. I was determined to use the opportunity to address the mess that had accumulated over the years, starting with my closets: bulging with clothes that "might fit again someday," favorites from the '90s ('80s?!?), bargains that didn't match anything else, and items in various stages of disrepair. The problem was, every time I tackled the closets in the past, I couldn't be objective enough to reduce the bulk by any measurable amount, and always gave up in utter exasperation (and exhaustion)!
Enter Shannon. She actually got me excited about eliminating some of the clutter in my life and getting a psychological "fresh start." She came armed with the right tools, the right plan, and contagious energy and enthusiasm! She set up a process that was orderly, sensible and FUN! And at the end of the day, I had 19 bags (!) of clothing to donate, extra space in my nice, neat, orderly closets, and a sense of accomplishment and can-do attitude that served me well in the months of uncertainty ahead."
